I recently bought a 3-D printer and within a week, I bought a 2nd 3-D Printer. I am obsessed with them and find them to be one of the most useful tools I’ve ever experimented with. I’m excited to share my experiences as I learn about this new hobby which I hope to turn into a business in time.

My latest challenge I have been working on using my first 3-D Printer, the Creality Ender 3 Pro, is to make a screw and nut. Once I get a large one created, I want to start shrinking them to see how small these fasteners can reliably get.

Right now, my prints are skewed (stretched diagonally), so I get oval threads… that won’t work at all!! I have been researching the problem and it seems to be a pulley tensioning issue. I tightened the belts and and printing a new style of nut from what I originally started with.

I will share the results tomorrow as it will take some time to finish printing.
